Using Praxilla for rendering is a streamlined process for our users:

1. Sign up: Begin by creating an account on our platform through our website and complete the registration.
2. Addon and Job Handler: After registration, download and install our Blender or Maya Addon and Praxilla Job Handler on your computer.
3. Configuration: The Addon will automatically detect settings from your project file, ensuring your preferences are used for rendering.
4. Upload Your Project: Easily upload your project files for rendering using the Praxilla Addon, which seamlessly integrates with the Job Handler to distribute tasks across our network.
5. Monitor Progress: Keep an eye on the rendering progress through the Job Handler's interface.
6. Download Your Renders: Upon rendering completion, the Job Handler will automatically provide access to download high-quality images or animations of your project.

For Blender, we support multiple recent versions, including 4.0.x, 4.2.x, 4.3.x, 4.4.x, 4.5.x and 5.0.x. We actively keep our system up to date to stay compatible with new Blender releases and features.

For Autodesk Maya, we currently support Maya 2025 and Maya 2026, using Autodesk Arnold 2026 as the rendering engine.

Support for additional tools is already in progress, so more artists will be able to speed up their rendering in the same simple way very soon.

Rendering time is calculated in minutes per node that is actively rendering. For instance, if there are 12 nodes simultaneously rendering for 5 minutes each, this would count as 60 minutes (1 hour) of rendering time. Partial minutes, such as seconds, are not counted toward your rendering hours.

If you finish your rendering hours, you will be notified via the Job Handler. You will need to purchase additional hours to continue rendering. Your render will be paused. You will be able to download the frames that finished rendering so far.

Praxilla uses all types of NVIDIA GPUs RTX 4090 for rendering. These GPUs are optimized to deliver high performance and speed for rendering tasks. Upon request we also provide NVIDIA RTX 5090s.

If you encounter any errors or failures during rendering, please contact our support team through the ticketing system for assistance. Our team will help resolve the issue promptly.

GPU hours are counted while your project is actively using the GPUs. This includes downloading the project to the render node, scene loading, and rendering time. Uploads from your machine, queue waiting time, and other non-GPU steps are not counted toward your GPU hours.

Praxilla does not enforce strict limits on project size or complexity. However, our fair use policy ensures system resources are shared fairly among users. Users are limited to one active rendering job and one queued job per account. For exceptionally large projects or if you need more than one job rendered at a time, please consult our support team to confirm feasibility.

Currently, Praxilla's rendering platform is primarily tailored for Blender and Maya users. While we strive to expand our compatibility and offer support for more design software in the future, at present, our services are only suited for Blender and Maya projects.

Praxilla supports all project file formats that are supported by Blender and Autodesk Maya. You can upload your scenes in the same formats you normally use, without converting your files beforehand.

For outputs, Praxilla focuses on rendering image sequences. Not all output formats are supported. For example, final video files are not rendered directly. Instead, you receive rendered frames, which you can then assemble into a video using your preferred tool.

Yes, Praxilla provides customer support to assist with rendering or hosting issues. Submit a ticket through our support system for a response within 24 hours, but usually much faster.

At the moment, Praxilla is not actively looking for new hosts. You can still apply to become a host, and if there is a good fit, we’ll reach out at a later stage when we open up additional host capacity.

Hosts are compensated based on verified rendering hours, adjusted for electricity rates and regional factors. Payments are made monthly, with a daily limit of 10 hours and a monthly cap of 250 hours. For specific details on earnings and payment structures, please contact our team.

There are no fixed limits, but specific arrangements depend on your setup. Contact our team for guidance.

Setting up and configuring your hardware for hosting on Praxilla's platform is a straightforward process:

1. Application Process: After you have applied to become a host and received confirmation from us, you will gain access to your account on our website.
2. Download Host Software: Within your account, you can download the host software provided by Praxilla.
3. Installation: Install the host software on your hardware following the provided instructions.
4. Execution: Run the host software. Once it's up and running, your hardware is ready to contribute to the rendering network.
5. Uninterrupted Operation: To ensure the smooth rendering process, avoid interrupting the rendering tasks or turning off your PC while it's actively participating in rendering jobs.

By following these steps, you can easily set up and configure your hardware to host on Praxilla's platform, contributing to the distributed rendering network and earning as a host.

Yes, Hosts are paid for up to 10 rendering hours per day, capped at 250 hours per month.

You can monitor hardware performance using tools such as:

1. CPU-Z: For CPU performance, including clock speed and core usage.
2. GPU-Z: For GPU performance, including temperature and clock speeds.
3. Windows Task Manager: For real-time insights into CPU, memory, disk, and network usage.

Praxilla centrally manages rendering task assignments to ensure efficient distribution and timely project completion. Hosts do not have access to the files being rendered.
